Receptionist was rude and raised her voice while I was asking her questions very politely… Literally her job. Horrible introduction to the place.

The food is EXCELLENT. Attentive care. approachable staff.

There very inconsiderate of the neighborhood they will block all the sidewalks the workers are less then average with poor attitudes if your selfish this building is perfect for you

I would give less than 1 star if I could. My mother of 93 years old was there for almost two years. My brother and I visited her every day and had multiple cameras monitoring 24/7. We had issues on a weekly basis but here is just an example: 1. The food is by far the worst. Homeless shelters have better quality food. Room service for meals always came cold, and if we needed someone to heat it up, they would charge for that service that took less than two minutes. 2. We had paid for different services such as putting her to bed, giving her a bath, or visiting her during the night, but often were invoiced for services that they did not fulfill. 3. We had a situation where we noticed from the video camera that no one came to give her scheduled medication. When we went to the nursing station, we found out they accidently gave the medication to another resident. This is not only unacceptable, but dangerous. 4. Our contract included cleaning the apartment every two weeks, but when we asked for the log book of visits, they claimed they did cleaning when our camera surveillance showed no one came on those days. 5. My mother needed help getting dressed in the morning and undressed at night, but they never had female PAB's to assist. An elderly woman obviously does not feel comfortable having a man undress her. When I approached the director on this, I was always given the excuse they could not find woman PABs yet the residence next door is amply staffed with women PABs. The real issue here is that Cogir is too cheap to pay the right salary to get the right staff yet they are not shy to charge the crazy prices to offer these "a-la-carte" services. Overall, the people that worked there did their best and we did experience some employees that were exceptional, but the real issue is the management and company. They are completely out of touch with the poor service they are giving their residents. When you call the residence, the answering machine introduces itself as the "Cogir Real Estate Group", and that is all they are which is a profit motivated real estate company. Their understanding of caring for elderly is dismal. Very sad.

My grandfather was preyed upon by a nurse who kept asking for and receiving important material and financial "gifts", and items of importance were taken from his room and never seen again. My attempts to inquire about this were brushed off and the head of the establishment was never available to talk. I do not recommend this place, they do not care.
