If you are looking for a Senior's warehouse this is the place for you or a family member ! Complete lack of atmosphere and TLC. Issues raised with management via email or telephone message go unanswered.Management completely oblivious to the impact it might have on family ! No follow ups for anything. All management systems are completely outdated and much is still done manually which leads to many errors including accounting errors. More emphasis is placed on tacky decorations than nursing care. That department is in constant turmoil with a lot of staff turnover.Typical reaction ....pass the puck.....takes zero responsibility. The dining facility on the 18th floor is nothing short of abysmal. Atmosphere ....... warehouse .....a barn...not inviting at all. It is grossly understaffed. It takes forever for the resident to get served, and when they get their food, 9/10 times, it's cold. Implementing any changes or additional services can take weeks if not months. One percent rent increase is a real scam. They make up the difference by drastically increasing all the other services which in the long run raises monthly cost from 4-7% every year. They charge for everything....even emptying the trash can! Security especially in the evening and later at night is a real issue. The building is outdated and requires more upkeep and maintenance. Unfortunately a zero score is not an option. Avoid at all cost !!

I stayed here for 1 week to recuperate from foot surgery. I was so impressed with the service and help. M St Germain is excellent on the phone I was so happy he was welcoming and very polite to start my experience on the right foot so to speak! Then I checked into the residence with Christina Popovici lovely person and that was also enjoyable. After my surgery some medications were too much for me my pressure dropped and the nurse Chayma (spelling) ? told me she had to call ambulance as my pressure was too low, glad she was there to assist me. After a few hours at hospital I returned to the maison soleil. The main Receptionist Monique that trains new people is very experienced and proficient in multi tasking, she was very helpful I had questions she had answers or got them quickly, excellent at her job! On Shopping day Tuesday I went on the bus to Gallery D’Anjou and the driver “Alain” is the perfect driver, good humoured, bilingual, he makes jokes and he knows the people well and even knew I was a newbie, it was nice to get out after not going out of building for 4 days. I also met the Director M. Turchetta he speaks 4 languages French English Italian and Spanish, I was very impressed. I have to mention Stephanie the main lady that works at the depanneur is very competent and friendly as well. If you want to try out a residence for short term convalescent or to see what’s it’s like in a residential home for the future this is a good place to go. I was very happy with everything the building is well maintained I gave it 4 stars as it is an older building but everything works fine. Food is good I loved the chocolate jelly roll I had was memorable one evening for dessert. Thank you to everyone at Maison St Leonard!

So far so good. My mom has been there now 2 months. I love the way they call her through intercom and to make her aware of who is coming up or if she accepts the visitor. I love the downstairs area where you can go visit your elders with your children and they can join in to play bowling, mini gulf or even play the piano and how every residence joins in to sing or just listen.
