2.6 / 5Dirty. Dangerously understaffed. From what I have seen over the years, they are at least five employees short per floor. Leave a message At the nurse office, they called back two or three days later. This has happened at least over 30 times For over the 3 1/2 years. Absolutely no use making complaints, The Head nurse or The director responsible for the floor just Take notes and never ever accomplish anything. Also no security whatsoever. Many Items have been stolen from my father‘s room from many items of clothing to eyeglasses to extension cords. Complained many times but absolutely nothing happened. The nurses at the office are completely overwhelmed with work. Many times I’ve tried to speak to the head nurse and she either tells me she’ll get back to me later when I’m there in person, or calls me 2 to 3 days later when I leave a message. They contact you twice a year for a meeting online asking what they can do to improve their services. You make suggestions And they say they’ll look into it and absolutely nothing changes.Complete hypocrisy. Don’t walk away from That place…. Run.
I would like to thank the entire team at the long-term care facility for the attentive and compassionate care provided to my aunt. Every gesture, however small, demonstrates your compassion and dedication to the residents. Thank you for caring for her with such respect and kindness.
zero. absolutely not recommended. The rooms are dirty and patients are neglected. the staff has zero concept of patients rights nor dignity - horrible
Run away from this place. My mother was only there for a month, and that was already too much. The strong smell of urine was nauseating. An official complaint was filed, but there was no improvement. The floors are sticky with dried urine. In one month, they lost several items of clothing, a pair of slippers, and my mother's walker. And everything was clearly marked with her name. The head of the prosthetics unit doesn't listen and is neurotic. It's pathetic!
The place has a powerful urine odor and lacks any proper cleaning of patient rooms, with urine stains persisting for weeks despite our numerous complaints to the head of housekeeping. We had to purchase our own cleaning supplies, which is unacceptable for people spending their final days here. Even worse, there was a candy stuck to the floor for over a month, possibly still there. While some staff members are decent, most show little initiative or care, requiring repeated requests to get anything done. During Christmas 2022 we weren't allowed to visit my father due to a recent a recent COVID outbreak, He was left in bed for over two days before they realized he needed hospitalization. By the time he arrived at the hospital, he was severely dehydrated, had extremely low blood pressure, and had developed pneumonia. The hospital nurse told me he doubted his chances of surviving the night. After a grueling 10-day battle, he recovered enough that he was eventually sent back to Auclair. When I visited him later that evening, I discovered that he hadn't been changed or cleaned at all in over 8 hours since his return from the hospital. I called the head nurse, but she refused to take my call and took more than four days to respond, offering the usual empty reassurances. Unfortunately, my father passed away just two days later. AVOID THIS PLACE!
