Chartwell Notre-Dame Victoriaville, résidence pour retraités

Everything was very beautiful before my mother signed the lease. After 1 to 2 years later.. The elevator is out of service twice in the same year. It's hot in the corridors in the summer. The attendant service is not STRONG. Quite frequent staff changes. The evening my mother entered the hospital. I called Chartwell so that the nurse could see my mother before I arrived. then I asked the attendant questions and then I didn't understand anything.. I'm not racist but I didn't understand her because she had trouble speaking French.. Imagine an elderly person!! It’s certain that an older person wouldn’t understand anything either. The editor is stupid and the meals are very expensive and not much on the plates...and so on! That evening my mother entered the hospital and she died a week later...

My mom is going to move soon, we had a very nice welcome from the staff and the residents seem to really like this place. Mélanie, who welcomed us for the visit, answered all our questions about the place very well and was always there to answer my questions. Always smiling and available. My sister and I had the chance to have dinner there with my mother and it was really good. I'm sure my mom will be very well. Thank you for everything.

Our mother has lived here for five years and truly feels at home. The staff is warm and attentive. We can reserve a room for a special occasion, and the staff takes care of everything—the meal, the wine, etc.—at a very reasonable price. Management is also attentive to the residents' individual needs. During the pandemic, residents were not left to fend for themselves; meals were delivered to their rooms daily. I highly recommend Chartwell Notre-Dame de Victoriaville.

I called several retirement/assisted living facilities in Maple Ridge and this one really stood out among the rest. The reception I received on the phone from Wendy was outstanding! Even though I was calling for a family member it made me wish that I could retire immediately. I plan to visit within the next few days and see if the facility lives up to my expectations.
