Very dirty and the food was very ordinary. For example: hot dog sausage with sauce and a piece of potato, spaghetti with jarred sauce. My father had Alzheimer's and the staff were not equipped to handle this type of case.

I recommend this residence; they are well cared for, the staff are always smiling and attentive, and the residents are truly well looked after.

My partner has been a resident for six months now, and I can tell you that I always arrive unannounced and I am completely satisfied with their approach to residents. My partner is only 60 years old, has cognitive impairment, and of course, didn't want to go to a retirement home, but now he tells me he feels like he's with family. All the staff are friendly and attentive. I love them, and I highly recommend it.

MARIE-FRANCE DUBÉ..... Your mother-in-law was taken in by Résidence IKA because she and her son had been evicted from their previous apartment for several months due to non-payment of rent. Résidence IKA showed empathy by offering her housing while she was homeless. However, Résidence IKA received no rent or service payments from the first day of the lease, nor during the first three weeks. In the fourth week, IKA demanded an initial rent payment because she could not be housed, fed with three meals a day, seven days a week, have laundry service, receive incontinence care, or any other assistance requested for the elderly free of charge. Every subsequent month was marked by late or non-payment of rent. In the fifth month of her tenancy, your mother-in-law left Résidence IKA without notice, with her brother picking her up and several months of unpaid rent. IKA Residence does not tolerate any intimidation or verbal abuse from staff towards our senior residents. We cannot accept housing a resident who has not paid rent for several months and then abuse our good faith in having provided her with accommodation, given that she is homeless. Is it a form of intimidation or verbal abuse to demand payment of rent and services?
