This institution has serious shortcomings and is unfit to provide the level of care and support needed for elderly individuals facing dementia, disabilities, and severe life-altering illnesses. Immediate attention and scrutiny are required for its current operations. The staff and management operate under the misguided notion that limited communication and transparency with families is acceptable. The environment at Felix can best be characterized as one of "neglect." They repeatedly fail to deliver the necessary care for their patients and often resort to administering excessive medications instead of offering proper oversight. There is a troubling tendency to shift responsibility, unjustly blaming families for the inadequacies in care. Furthermore, there have been alarming instances of discharging patients without prior notice, prioritizing financial interests over patient welfare. This situation calls for swift action and accountability. Felix, if you cannot provide the required staffing levels, or if your staff lacks the experience and dedication to respect the trust families place in you, you must either close your doors or reduce the number of residents and patients you serve. It is becoming increasingly clear that you are prioritizing revenue over the care of vulnerable elderly individuals. Take this review seriously for the all future tenants.

I see that this review was 3 years ago, it is my understanding there has been significant changes in the personnel.since then. Also this may still be true for the autonomous as they are able to speak up for themselves, as opposed to the people on the care department (Signature), who just take what they are given without any choice. In my opinion they are not nourished well. Even people in charge did not know that residents need protein daily. If anyone reading this knows if the Québec government ever looks into these establishments, please post it. My mother is hungry, i gad to order food for her as Le Felix does not give the same nutritious food to the residents that need care and cannot express themselves as the people on the independent side that can make their own decisions and demands.
