CHSLD Manoir St-Patrice

My Father was transferred to the Manoir today and so far I am very impressed with the warm welcome and caring staff.

My partner shared a tiny room with a bed practically touching the radiator; the isolation curtain extended over the other patient's bed. The room was so small for two people that getting him to the bathroom in his wheelchair was a real ordeal. A bed in the emergency room was much more welcoming and comfortable. Furthermore, the other patient urinated and defecated all over the room. My partner was essentially living in the other patient's excrement. I find it a lack of empathy on the part of management to put a patient through such a situation. Moreover, when we had to have him hospitalized, the emergency room doctor told me, "Madam, your partner arrived here in terrible condition; the care at this long-term care facility is appalling."

Wonderful! We, the Rétronomes, have been playing music for seniors regularly for several years now, and this is a wonderful place. Well done, Julie!

My grandfather spent only three weeks at Manoir Saint-Patrice. The entire family appreciated the work, professionalism, great respect, and kindness of the whole team. Many of us were at his bedside during his final moments, and the staff were truly dedicated to my grandfather's comfort. They took the time to explain the care and end-of-life procedures to us and were there for us. They were very warm and welcoming during those difficult times. They brought us several chairs, coffee and cookies, empathy, and kind words. Thank you to the entire team for your dedication and excellent care.
