The bond of trust we observed between you and our instructor, Ms. Linda Borough, also instilled confidence in us and allowed us to develop technical and interpersonal skills essential to our wonderful profession. The employees at this branch are extremely disrespectful. Those who park on Sainte-Catherine Street before 7:00 a.m. and wait for the parking lot to move make a mess every day by congregating in front of other people's windows. One employee named Michelle, with her Toyota, completely crosses the line (I don't think she's qualified to work in this field). I've already notified the branch coordinator, but there's been no change in their behavior. The next step is legal action.

My mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's, arrived at the Émilie-Gamelin Long-Term Care Centre about two months ago. I was very stressed about her transfer to a long-term care centre, especially since she had been living independently in a private seniors' residence (RPA). Unfortunately, her health deteriorated rapidly, and I had to make the difficult decision to transfer her to a permanent care unit. Having never experienced this before, I didn't really have a benchmark to assess the quality of care she was receiving. However, comparing it today with what we experienced in the private sector, I realize how much the Émilie-Gamelin Centre stands out for the quality of its care and attention. While I thought that by paying high fees in the private sector, my mother would be treated with the utmost care, I was surprised to see the enormous difference at the Émilie-Gamelin Long-Term Care Centre. Whereas I would give a private nursing home a 2 out of 5, I give the Émilie-Gamelin CHSLD a 5 out of 5 without hesitation. All the staff are attentive and responsive. My mother feels good, and I feel truly reassured. The staff is always smiling, courteous, and caring. The attendants and nurses are attentive to the needs of each resident. A huge thank you to everyone who cares for my mother at the Émilie-Gamelin Center, especially the head nurse on the 3rd floor. You have my deepest gratitude. 🙏

There are too few licensed practical nurses, and they are sometimes assigned over 60 patients across two floors. Some registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and personal care attendants don't help their colleagues, drag their feet, arrive late, or leave early. In short, there's a lot of room for improvement.

I give this center two stars because we have a management that is too rigid towards its employees and especially immigrants.
