Chartwell Manoir Archer, résidence pour retraités

While accompanying a resident of the manor to dinner, I was amazed to see two young people setting the table for the next day, handling all the utensils not by the handle but by the end! I find this unacceptable! It is a total lack of hygiene! If they did not go to hotel school, it seems to me that it would be the least they could do to teach them how to handle cutlery! On the other hand, the food was excellent, the chef friendly and the waitress just as much!

After having done an activity, my wife and I are proud to leave our appreciation of what we experienced. The guides were kind and attentive to the needs of the people. Thank you to the whole team.

On several occasions, I've had the privilege of sharing activities with the residents of Manoir Archer. I've seen firsthand how the staff at this residence, including Cindy Bouffard, are dedicated to the comfort of their residents, caring for each and every one of them with great respect. A place like this would certainly be my choice when the time comes for me to choose a retirement residence.

Marie-Josée, the investment advisor, is a gem. She is attentive and very respectful of the pace of people shopping for a place to live. No pressure is put on future residents. The meetings are conducted with a focus on listening to their needs and finding solutions. Bravo!

A great place for independent people, but a terrible place for people with cognitive problems! No entertainment, no activities to stimulate the senses! They sell it to you as a great place for people who aren't independent... but people are left to their own devices 90% of the time! They always serve meals on time and respect the bathrooms... the only entertainment of the day, by the way! This place is perfect for independent people; for others, look elsewhere! There's a high staff turnover. Whether they're employees of the manor or those coming from agencies, everyone ends up leaving... in short, it's not uncommon to see unfamiliar faces, whether they're regular staff or new ones, and there are always new managers... something is clearly going on internally... however, the food is good, kudos to the kitchen! Several meal choices! And several activities for independent people! That was my opinion of the manor!
