3.3 / 5I had to urgently place my aunt at the Résidence l’Auberge de la Rivière. I was completely lost and discouraged by it all, but from the very first moment, I felt I wasn't alone. I was supported with rare compassion, with people truly taking the time to listen, reassure, explain, and understand. It changed everything. Here, there is so much heart and kindness. Respect and consideration for the residents aren't just words: they are lived every day. The residents seem happy to live there, their smiles are genuine, and the atmosphere is warm and peaceful. The staff is exceptional, deeply humane and dedicated—from management to caregivers, kitchen staff, and reception. Everyone does their part with love and care. It's an inclusive facility where everyone has their place, where residents and staff form a true community. They are its heart and soul. In a very short time, they accomplished what seemed impossible to me. True miracles, made up of small acts of kindness, presence, and heart. I will always be grateful to them. Thank you so much.
Hello, I used to live here. The director, Mr. Provost, does everything he can with the resources he has. They often change attendants and cooks, the meals leave something to be desired, the menus change frequently, and they include baloney steak on the menu. It's true that it depends on each individual's taste. If residents ask if they would like something new in the meals, the response is that this or that food is too expensive. Bread is never served with meals unless it's a sandwich. I think that with what we pay, we can get a little of what we ask for. That our requests, on any point, whether it's kitchen or maintenance, or additional items to help the residents' well-being, are taken into account and listened to, and necessary adjustments are made. However, the maintenance department is good. The two nurses, Isabelle and Jennifer, are very kind. However, as I said above, I didn't get to know the attendants. Noemie and Nathalie were nice. As for the kitchen staff, Louise and Isabelle were very nice. They're understaffed. As for pay, what I've heard from several people is that they're not well paid, which means people go elsewhere to earn a decent salary. With all the work they have, they need to be paid accordingly and staffed. I didn't like it. Anonymous
My mother and her partner have been living at Auberge de la Rivière for just over a year. I am delighted to share with you that she enjoys an excellent quality of life there. The director, Mr. Daniel Provost, stands out for his warm and caring approach. He and his team demonstrate a genuine concern for the well-being of the residents. For example, over the past year, they have built an outdoor pétanque court and raised garden boxes, offering new, stimulating and accessible activities for residents. Among the remarkable initiatives, we also find the "Director's Café," a friendly opportunity for residents to connect with Mr. Provost, where they can discuss issues that directly concern them and current projects. This listening space promotes transparency and gives residents a voice, allowing them to express their ideas, questions, or concerns. Every month, a dinner show is organized to celebrate the birthdays of residents born during the month—a thoughtful gesture that brings great joy. As for the meals, they are delicious. Congratulations to chef Nathalie for the quality and variety of the menus! Many other activities are offered, such as pet therapy, bingo, outdoor swings, not to mention an on-site hair salon (with two hairdressers available), as well as a weekly shuttle service to the mall and various stores. In short, I am grateful and reassured to see my mother and her partner thrive in such a dynamic, caring, and supportive environment. A huge thank you, Mr. Provost and to your entire team. Long live the Auberge de la Rivière!
The staff's availability was exceptional during our mother's move. She stayed there for 12 years and was always satisfied with the services provided.
Very good service! The staff is attentive. The food is good. My parents have been living here since January 18, 2025. My father has cognitive impairments; if he doesn't go to the dining room, the staff goes to the apartment. I made a request to the hostel manager to better organize the bathroom, so that the bathtub is more accessible, the work was done the following week. They have activities every week. It's a clean place. The staff is friendly. The director, Mr. Provost, does a good job, a very nice team. Thank you 🙏
