3.5 / 5Horrible administration/communication. Gave us the wrong time for ultrasound appointment. And then when we get there they wouldn't let me be inside and be with my wife to see the baby. The reason given was that I had my other baby with me (who was quiet and in a car seat). No notice given that children aren't allowed inside. They swear up and down that this is supposed to be communicated ahead of time, but there was ZERO communication. In the end, they robbed a father of his first opportunity to see his child. It was heartbreaking. It was a miserable experience for my wife too cause she had to be alone for this special moment. Their administration clearly needs better training. Don't expect anything they say to be accurate over the phone. Double check everything and ask lots of questions cause they will forget essential information they're supposed to communicate, and may give wrong information. You literally get more professional communication at McDonald's.
Recent care in the Physio dept was excellent! 3 visits and problem solved. Excellent knowledge and first class computer equipment was used! Very kind and professional physio, Josee, a real gem! Thank you! Thank you!
I had the best experience with all the staff that works with Dr Bourgignon. Very professional and humanely kind. A big wow! And thank you so much for making it smooth for me. Brenda Hamel.
Absolutely disgustingly terrible service. I came in with a fractured orbital and a broken wrist from a snowboard accident. They only x-rayed for a broken wrist and then had me wait, i decided to leave because of the terrible employees. I arrived at Ottawa where they properly treated me and it turns out I have a fractured orbital and need plastic surgery. If I waited for this hospital i wouldn’t have even been treated for my broken face. disregard any idea of coming to this horribly staffed hospital.
I had to visit the BMP hospital about two months ago after experiencing chest pain and arrhythmia. Triage got me into a room to see a doctor within 10 minutes. They did an EKG and took blood. Then, they sent me back out into the waiting room with an IV plug in my arm and told me to wait for the results. Seven hours later...no results. I was exhausted and hungry. I went back to triage and told them to pull out the IV gizmo. I went home. My logic was...if I was in grave danger, I guess they would have told me by now. Not the best option though. Meanwhile, the staff is superb and responsive. They work hard, and I get that they are understaffed and under-financed, but I have to question management of this hospital. Triage is in a corner out view of the ER waiting room. This is concerning. In most hospitals, triage is at the entrance where it makes sense.I don't think it's a good idea to let a patient sit for 7 hour not knowing if they are in danger or not. On an earlier visit, my wife sat there for 11hours and gave up and went home. I often wonder, if someone passed out and died in a chair in the ER waiting room...would anyone know? I realize that we have an under-funded, bureaucratic health care system, but I think we could do better locally. I suggest that management put themselves in a frightened patient's shoes.
