CHSLD de Lachine

I cannot say enough good things about this residence, the staff...are fabulous!!! Out of this world, my mom is on the 6th floor and everyone of the folks working there give so much of themselves, this is not a job to them, but a vocation. Never short of a smile, conversing with the residents, helping residents with so many different things, always with respect, and always with compassion. Also have to say interactions with other staff, front desk, Kitchen, social workers, volunteers, etc. are beyond expectations. Bravo Team CHSLD Lachine, you are wonderful people, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Great senior's residence! My mother gets awesome care and is very happy there. Lots of fun activities! Staff is kind and professional!

Absolutely horrible residence. The staff might work hard but from what I saw today the majority hardly work. 5th floor is the worse and smells if urine. Went to visit my father who just got transferred and he's on the 5th. Extremely dirty, rude staff. I am working in getting him transferred. He has not been outside in the 5 weeks he's been there. When asked why, they said because it's not a priority. I tried to take him out, they refused and said I need to schedule an appointment 🙄 It's my father.....can't wait for my meeting with the director next week.

My mother has dementia. She is paralysed on one side. She was there 2 1/2 months. She had a bedsore on her lower back that significantly deteriorated to the point that she has a hole now and requires morphine when they change her bandages. She has behavior problems. They dealt with it by leaving her in bed. That is fine but did not look after rotating her so as to prevent further problems. This seems like neglect. She is in a different CHSLD now. They are not all the same.

This seniors home is excellent ,all the staff are kind professional compassionate happy eager to help and residents feel safe and happy.They have an excellent sense of humour ant they treat the residents as if they were their own parents.They go out of their way to make the families feel at ease when they are not there.My dad loves it there he says it’s the best.He lived home alone until 6 months ago he is 90 years old.The Heath nurses are very competent and make sure the residents are well taken care, they give a lot of time to make sure they are safe. Thank you to all the staff that care and take care of them .The head nurses are amazing and come out to help the nurses to make sure everything is perfect.
