CHSLD de Charlesbourg

They accompanied my Sister Louise this past month, from April 4th to May 3rd. A place truly adapted to reality, serene and calm. The staff in general seems well-trained and more than up to the task under the circumstances.

Disappointed, from the reception on the ward... I felt no human warmth as a visitor... There were three of them in the office, but no disturbances! The patient, who is my cousin... was half-undressed under her blankets... In short, I didn't like the approach on the ward. I don't want to know the rest... I would have been afraid of ending my days there... especially arriving without my physical and psychological faculties, but deep down, my mind knows what people must be feeling... 😔

Thank you to all the palliative care staff. You were wonderful with Mom; your compassion, your care, your words, your comfort—Mom truly appreciated it. Thank you to Dr. Archambault who supported us through this difficult time. A special thank you to François, who took care of every detail of hygiene, the cream, the perfume. Walking into the room and hearing Mom say, "I smell nice, it's my perfume." All these details are so important in these circumstances. Keep up the good work! 😍
