Need to upgrade, doesn't do enough activities with elders, doesn't go out to take fresh air with them, some of the workers specially during the day are very rude , doesn't understand when they got there it is a fragile situation so needs to be more patient , not inhuman, but more human and caring.

My mother-in-law is there right now. The daytime staff are great, very attentive, but the evening and night shifts are HORRIBLE!!! We went this week and oh my god, the staff acted so rude, and when I asked for the name of an attendant, THEY REFUSED TO GIVE IT TO US 😡 This is unacceptable!!! I know the system, I work in it, so I absolutely do not recommend this long-term care facility!!

Maintenant que ma mère a été transféré , soins horribles, elle dormait dans une chaise assez souvent , négligence sur son corps , sa chambre était malpropre ! Nourriture affreuse . Un endroit malsain pour des gens âgés en perte d’autonomie 🥲🥲. Peu d’activité, tous assis dans une salle avec un téléviseur sans volume ! On aurait pu mettre une petite musique… on perdait souvent ses effets personnels.

I am a caregiver to a patient at the CHSLD. From the outset, it must be emphasized how dedicated the staff is even when they are understaffed; care is provided, but unfortunately, there is a lack of functional organization. I cite as an example that the simple transfer of mail (including tax papers) was not done. Furthermore, and after complaining, I learned that the manager did her work so late (despite my 3 calls made in a courteous tone) that the reimbursement check for the month of March will not be issued until May, 8 weeks after her departure from Triest. I believe this reflects the aberrations of the system that indicate the consideration given to residents. What do residents do when they have no one to look after their well-being and interests?

Now that my relative has left Pierre-Joseph-Triest, I feel I can offer a more realistic opinion about this long-term care facility. The staff are dedicated but not very proactive. There were few activities besides sitting in a room in front of a television with no sound. My various interactions with management were always courteous but rather ineffective. Requests went unanswered. And even now, mail that should have been forwarded seems to have "lost its way." The reimbursement of the monthly balance is taking forever. In short, this long-term care facility is more like a place to die than a place to live.
