Centre d'hébergement Champlain-de-Saint-François

The staff is very attentive and I thank them from the bottom of my heart for the good care they provided to my father. I will keep fond memories of the visits I made to my father during the last 2 months of his life.

The Champlain-de-Saint-François long-term care centre moved in October 2024 to modern, spacious buildings with private and double rooms. The beautiful rear area, accessible to wheelchairs, overlooks the Rivière des Prairies. This is a stark contrast to the old location, which was very outdated and cramped—the main drawback of previous reviews. The staff remains very welcoming.

Actually, for the quality of staff and care, it's a solid 5, but for the facilities… one star! There's a tiny room on the ground floor, very small, and a small outdoor area. On the two floors of care, there's no common room; residents are crammed into the hallway to watch television and be together—it's truly pitiful. The nurses and orderlies have a tiny office. The rooms are okay, but they're minimal. The staff is dedicated and they do everything they can under the circumstances, but the physical environment leaves much to be desired.

My mother resided there for almost a year before her passing. I want to emphasize the wonderful work done by all the staff; a professional, warm team, providing compassionate care to residents. All the employees were always very kind and attentive to our family. Truly compassionate people. Thank you so much.

The staff are truly attentive and warm. They treat my grandmother like royalty. I feel reassured knowing my grandmother is in their care.
