My father moved in a little over two years ago, and I must say that the quality of care and services has greatly improved since Ms. Belkacem arrived. Her concern for the residents' well-being and her empathy are contagious, inspiring her team to continually improve this living environment! Thank you, Leila, and thank you to your entire team!

Unfortunately I cannot give a good review of this place. My parents in law spent nine months in this place in 2022. Despite the fact that there are some individual PAB's that are very caring, there is a systemic and endemic lack of resources (personnel). They simply do not allot a sufficient number of persons per number of residents. And, I would say, there seems to be a lack of professionalism and training in how to care for older persons. Many of the PAB's are temps. We had a number of bad experiences, but the worst was when my father-in-law fell in the bathroom and spent 5 hours on the floor. Why? Because the emergency bell signal didn't work. It was supposed to have been fixed. And then when someone finally heard him calling, they wouldn't get him off the floor until the ambulance people came, despite the fact that they had a registered nurse present (he had nothing broken, just bruised). Among the other issues was the fact that there was no air conditioning. When you bring up the lack of personnel they will always refer to some benchmark studies that have been done as to the number of staff per residents. It's all academic when, at the end of the day, your father or mother will not be cared for properly. I think the problem stems from the top management; bad culture and too much emphasis on profits. I'm sorry to have to write this, but I sincerely wish others to avoid having the same experience as us. Although good residences are not easy to find, I encourage you to persevere until you find one.

Another fall trip to the neighborhood park

My friend’s mom has been residing in this place and it has been a nightmare. This place is clearly not ready to run business of taking care of people with Alzheimer’s.

Review applies to their “brand new” special care/prosthetic unit where my mom stayed for 4 months. My opinion : Lack of staff. Staff not trained to deal with patients with cognitive troubles. Untrained staff left to handle care unit on their own. Nurse barely présent on spécial care unit floor. No transfer of information from one shift to the other. Lack of transparency from management. Heater didn’t work for 3 months in my mom’s room. Covid outbreak with poor to non existence of proper communication of the situation to the family during lockdown. I can go on and on. I’m only giving the advice I wish I received before selecting this facility for my mom. She’s thankfully no longer residing there which is why I’m finally speaking up. Don’t do it and if you do happen to have a family member in there, do yourself a favor and go check up on them everyday. Note : All positive reviews posted here seem to come from staff members...
