My stepfather lived there for two years and was robbed three times from his drawer by staff. Management told me it was probably a beneficiary, of course! Master thieves capable of picking a lock and coordinating their theft with the weekly bath.

Hello, my father-in-law was at the CHSLD for almost 3 years and for my part I am very satisfied with the services. During the pandemic, Mr. Scott gave us video conferences regularly. It was good for both my father-in-law and my mother-in-law. We had very good collaboration from the staff, both nurses and attendants. For my family, we could not have had better. Thank you to the Marguerite Rocheleau team.

Same thing I just read. If we could give a rating of 0...Beware of 10 stars, I seriously doubt their relevance. They clearly haven't spent much time in this center. Always new staff who don't read the instructions for residents. They don't care at all. You have to be present and very available to keep an eye on your loved one. There are a few employees who have a heart but they can't do everything and be there 24/7. I once spent 45 minutes looking for someone to administer medication to my mother myself. No one on the floor except the cook and the one who cleaned. I could write a novel...But the comment when my mother entered the center sums up their mentality well: Madam, this is a death house. Bravo. My mother was so afraid of reprisals that she didn't want us to complain too much...she is dead now.

My grandmother lives there, and I must say that we have been extremely disappointed by the staff during this pandemic. We understand that the work is difficult for the employees right now. But we tried to contact her without any response; we left several messages without replying. They even told us two weeks ago that if she contracted COVID, a staff member would call us. What was bound to happen, happened... we called today for an update, and finally a nurse answered and told us that our grandmother had contracted COVID on December 22nd and that she was coming out of isolation today. We were never contacted; we had faith in the staff and the facility. Now that faith is gone. Very disappointed by these events, hoping that this message will serve as a life lesson to those in charge of the facility.

First of all, if I could give a zero rating, I would do so without hesitation. It will soon be a year since my mother was reclassified from an intermediate resource to this CHSLD. Certainly, I trusted the former social worker, where my mother was (Marie-Victorin residence). She told me that she would have more services adapted to her needs, etc.... Well, it's quite the opposite, since my mother was transferred there, she has been scared stiff due to the more than unacceptable slowness in answering the doorbell. The high turnover of employees, since my mother has been there, apart from the receptionist, I have never seen anyone else stay long enough for me to finally learn their first name. And it's even worse for my mother, I would tell you, and according to her too, at least 75% of the time minimum they are agency employees and every day there is a lack of staff. It happened several times that I went to visit my mother and she had to ring to have her saturation taken because she didn't feel well (she has COPD & suffers from emphysema, on oxygen) and she waited a minimum of 35 minutes and even more (the longest 60 minutes), what would happen if she had fallen etc... Just a resident of the neighboring room had fallen it made a big bang, I heard screams for help and crying I ran, and well I was scolded and ordered to leave instead of letting me explain that he hit the ground when I found him, when I came back he had laid him down and left him in the dark with the door half open. There are several things that I noticed, I made several calls to Mrs. Toupin, who left, then the other one who also left, and well my complaints were never followed up. My mother is still waiting for the new person to come and meet her following several of her promises. The staff is so cold, no manners, no smiles, no humanity for these poor people, and we understand that we will all end up there one day. Once when I was going to deliver food to my mother, I heard an employee yelling at others who I could hear in front of the elevators. I filed several complaints without ever getting any response. I even wrote the same thing above. Now that the law changed on June 1st regarding complaints in private CHSLDs, I hope that things will move and change quickly. If it weren't for my mother's fragility, I would change her location.
